The picturesque Bay of Talamanca is just 15 minutes walk along the Marina from Ibiza Town. A peaceful resort with a beautiful sandy beach. There are several hotels lining the bay of Talamanca with fantastic views of Ibiza Town at night and some excellent restaurants on the beach.
Although there are no shops or supermarkets in Talamanca itself, the village of Jesus is a 15 minute walk away. There you will find some delightful cafés and restaurants, supermarkets, shops, banks and international press. Talamanca's Marina is split into two sections: The Marina Botafoc, nearest Talamanca, with high class restaurants and boutiques, and the Marina Nueva, nearer Ibiza Town, where the ferries to Formentera embark. In between lies the glamorous club El Divino, the Ibiza Casino and a bit further back still is the club Pacha.
This area is suitable for couples, families with children and anyone looking for a base handy for Ibiza Town but with a beach. Those seeking non-stop, hedonistic nightlife should stick to San Antonio.
Talamanca is a very popular holiday destination, as it offers wonderful relaxation, a broad sandy beach and is still very near to Pacha and El Divino and the shrill and vibrant night-scene in the Port of Ibiza.
Talamanca is situated on the E coast, about 2 mls NE of Ibiza Town. 6 mls from the airport.
The main stretch of beach between the 2 sections of the resort is predominantly sand with the sand all but completely disappearing at the N end. The best bathing is from the small beaches close to the ferry dock.
Nothing outstanding. There are a few local shops selling everyday provisions. Much larger and more upmarket selection in Ibiza Town.
Entertainment in the daytime is limited, mainly to beach activities.
The nightlife is no where near as busy as its local neighbour. There are a few bars and a casino nearby, on road to Ibiza Town.
There are a few snack bars and a couple of restaurants including a Chinese. Nothing out of the ordinary although there should be something to suit most tastes.
