Overview:

In close proximity to Paguera is the idyllic cove which forms Cala Fornells. Just over ¾ ml in length, the resort comprises a clutch of hotels, some apartments, a few private houses and limited amenities, mainly set along the one long, winding road. Like so many of the little villages and towns in Mallorca Cala Fornells is a slow, relaxed pace resort centred around a picturesque beach setting.

Locality:

Cala Fornells is located on the SW coast, 16 mls W of Palma, 3 mls from the centre of Paguera, which extends much closer, 21 mls from the international airport. It is set along a narrow, winding road, part way along a pine-clad headland, with an E-facing cove.

Entertainment/Facilities/Attractions/Things to do:

As is the case with most quiet picturesque havens, Cala Fornells appeals mainl to seclusion seekers and country walkers. The cove is picturesque but very small, especially for the potential numbers during peak periods. Patches of sand alternate with rocks; a few small fishing boats lie at anchor. The bay is enclosed by opposing headlands.

Accommodation consists of two good hotels and a range of self catering apartments, many of them are privately owned.
